Toradora! is a light novel series written by Yuyuko Takemiya and illustrated by Yasu. Released from 2006 to 2009, it was also adapted to manga, anime, and video games. The story follows high school student Ryuuji Takasu, who has a good nature but also a thuggish face. He is classmates with his best friend Yuusaku Kitamura, his crush Minori Kushieda, and Minori's violent best friend Taiga Aisaka. After an unfortunate encounter, Ryuuji and Taiga learn that both of them are infatuated with the other's best friend, so they make a deal to help each other get together with their crushes.
