George's Marvellous Medicine is a book published in 1981, written by Roald Dahl with illustrations by Quentin Blake. The protagonist is a boy named George Kranky, who is often bullied verbally by his mean grandmother. He decides to get back at her and creates for her a fake medicine from random ingredients. When she takes it, however, she grows as tall as a house. George's parents see that it has the same effect on farm animals, and his father wants him to make more of it. The story is said to have good humor, but is lacking in plot.

When Grandma takes the medicine George made, she goes through a few effects before growing, one of them being inflating.
