The Artist's Dream - a 1913 cartoon by J.R Bray.
The daschund gains weight and explodes. Due to the date, it might be considered the second animated expansion scene ever, after the 1912's mosquito expansion in "How a Mosquito Operates". Curiously, both scenes feature someone exploding after overgorging on food.
