Little Iodine was a comic strip created by Jimmy Hatlo as a spin-off of his earlier success They'll Do It Every Time, in which Iodine had become a popular incidental character, and distributed by King Features Syndicate. In the comic itself, the mischievous Little Iodine vexes her hapless father Henry Tremblechin with either pranks that escalate out of hand, or well-meaning ideas and suggestions that backfire, typically earning him the wrath of his hot-tempered boss, Mr. Bigdome, in the latter case.

Following Hatlo's death in 1963 from a stroke, his assistants Bob Dunn and Hy Eisman would take over for the remainder of the strip's tenure; it concluded in 1983, one day short of a forty-year run.
