Opoona is an RPG video game developed by ArtePiazza and released on the Nintendo Wii on November 1, 2007. Described as a "Lifestyle RPG", the game features a hybrid of RPG and Life Simulation game elements. The game has a novel battle system where the player pulls back the control stick to throw energy spheres called bonbons, which can be curved and charged to deal more damage. The player grows stronger through battles, but the main progression is in working jobs and forming friendships. Many people and places are only accessible by earning job licenses so the player must work jobs like hotel attendant, mining engineer or janitor.
The story follows Opoona, a member of an alien species called Tizians with powerful combat abilities. Opoona and his family are on a vacation when their ship is shot down and lands on the planet of Landroll. Opoona's parents, Momeena and Dadeena, are gravely injured so Opoona goes on a quest to collect enough money to heal them. Opoona must work odd jobs throughout Landroll and fight strange creatures called Rogues as a Landroll Ranger to rise through the ranks of citizenship. Along the way Opoona is reunited with his siblings, Copoona and Poleena, and they slowly uncover the plot that led to their ship being shot down.
A late-game Rogue called Megton appears at Spirit Lake and around Meditation Tower. It can swell up and fire out clouds of poisonous gas.
