Hungry Monster is short children's book written by famed New Zealand author Joy Cowley. Early one morning, a monster knocked on the front door of a family he know looking for breakfast. No one in the family was awake yet and the monster set off to find his own breakfast. This amounted to the Monster eating random objects he ran into on the street, including an entire car. Feeling sick, Monster went back home to sleep off his breakfast only to be awakened by the family telling him it was time for breakfast.
