9 Chickweed Lane is a comic strip created by Brooke McEldowney, running since 1993. At first, it followed the three generations of the Burber family: teenager Edda, mother Juliette, and grandmother Edna. Eventually, Edda became the focus as she grew up and moved to New York City. The strip also incorporates McEldowney's interest in music and dance and his views on difficult topics.
