The Bad Easter Bunny by Isabel Atherton and illustrated by Stéphanie Röhr is a short story about the, now literally blue, Easter Bunny no longer enjoying his seasonal job.
Every Easter, the Easter Bunny has to strain himself carrying a large pack of candies and presents to all the children in the city. The ungrateful children crowd him every year and snatch away at the treats without so much of a "thank you".

One year, a little boy grabs a chocolate egg so fast that he accidentally knocked the Bunny over. The tumble made the bunny see, and turn, all the colors of the rainbow before he settled on a new redder perspective.
The new Bad Easter Bunny quickly got to work on his revenge by destroying the toys, eating the candy, scaring the children, and littering. While he has a gut when eating candy it disappears, during his rampage. But it comes back when he eventually gets sick from all the candy he ate. A little girl shows up and hugs the bunny as thank you for all his hard work. This causes him to lose his gut and temper.
