Berserk is a hugely popular manga franchise which began in 1989 and is still ongoing at the time of writting.
It focuses on an adventuring party in a medieval fantasy world, led by protagonist Guts, who seeks revenge on Griffith, his former best friend and leader of the "Band of the Hawk" following the latter's betrayal of the aforementioned mercenaries.
