The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! is a popular 1989 retelling of the fairy tale by Jon Scieszka, with illustrations by Lane Smith. It is told from the Wolf's ("Alexander Wolf's") point of view; he claims he was framed despite his innocence, thus producing a better headline. In 2009, the book was listed in 1001 Children's Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up, for ages five and up.
In the second half of the book, Alexander is bloated from eating the first two pigs out of guilt.
