Recess is an American animated cartoon series created by Paul Germain and Joe Ansolabehere and produced by Walt Disney Television Animation which ran on ABC’s Disney One Saturday Morning as well as Toon Disney from August 1997 to November 2001. The show focuses on a ragtag group of fourth-grade kids attending Third Street Elementary School and the various escapades they get into among the structured society of kids on the playground and the rigid faculty of the school.
In addition to the five seasons of the TV show spanning 127 episodes, four feature-length films for the series were also released.
