Ned’s Newt is a Canadian animated series produced by Nelvana that aired on Teletoon from 1997 to 1999. It features average boy Ned and his pet newt Newton, who transforms into a chaotic shapeshifting giant when he eats Zippo brand newt food. Most episodes begin with Ned facing some typical childhood inconvenience, which Newton makes much worse by misunderstanding human culture.
