Penguins of Madagascar is a computer-animated feature film that serves as a spin-off of the Madagascar film franchise, focusing on four of its characters who also appeared in their own, unrelated TV show, The Penguins of Madagascar. The film was directed by Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell and was released in the United States on November 26, 2014.
In the film, which takes place after the events of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, the penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private join the North Wind, an elite undercover task force comprising of arctic animals, to foil the world domination plans of Dr. Octavius Brine, the human disguise of an octopus named Dave.
Rico's habit of swallowing everything will either make him end up looking plump or not affect his body at all.
In one gag, the penguins swiftly gorge on Cheesy Dibbles off camera; Skipper is covered in cheese dust while the others simply appear bloated.
