There was another scene from the MGM era. I don’t remember the exact episode, but it involves Jerry using a straw to breathe underwater, and Tom blows into the straw causing him to inflate (albeit in the “head merges into body” kind of shape). Jerry blows back, causing Tom’s head to inflate.
Update: The episode was “Just Ducky.”
