Akiba's Trip: The Animation is an anime series adapted from the Akiba's Trip video game series. It follows a teenage otaku named Tamotsu Denkigai. One day while shopping in Akibahara, he is attacked by the "Bugged Ones," strange monsters that possess people to try to take over the area. He is rescued by the mysterious girl Matome Mayonaka who is fighting the Bugged Ones. She gives Tamotsu powers like hers, and they fight alongside their friends to protect Akibahara.
