My Little Pony: Pony Life is a 2020 animated series that is a spinoff of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Running for two seasons between 2020-2021, the series acted as a stop gap between My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and A New Generation. It is often referred to as Generation 4.5 by fans. The series is only loosely based on it's predecessor and features exaggerated character traits and cartoony scenarios. The main focus is on Sugarcube Corner, a bakery with a mysterious supply of potions ran by Pinkie Pie. Each episode consists of two five minute segments, which occasionally form a full ten minute long storyline.

Potion Surprise was a set of novelty blind boxes in the shape of potion bottles. When filled with cold water and shaken, the bag inside would disintegrate, revealing the toy inside. As well as regular shaped characters, they could also emerge as "potion transformations", such as with added horns and wings.

Batch 2 featured the Mane 6 and Celestia transformed into inflated balloons. They came in both opaque and translucent variants.
