GTO is a collection of interconnected manga series created by Tooru Fujisawa, the most popular of which is Great Teacher Onizuka (which gives the franchise it's GTO name and led to the earlier titles Shonan Junai Gumi and Bad Company to be released as GTO: The Early Years in the west).
Most of the books track the life of Eikichi Onizuka as he goes from biker gang member to private school teacher.
