Alvin and the Chipmunks is a cartoon series based off of comedy band by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr in 1958. It involved high pitched chipmunks singing various songs named Alvin, Simon and Theodore.The Cartoon ran from 1983 to 1990, with five seasons and 100 episodes. Two seasons aired shortly after, but the name was changed to "The Chipmunks". Finally, an eighth season was released, but was called "The Chipmunks go to the movies".

In this "A Christmas Carol" spoof, Alvin is being visited by the ghost of Christmas future. The ghost shows Alvin what his future will like if he continues to be selfish, self-absorbed and greedy.
