The Simpsons Movie is the 2007 theatrical adaptation of The Simpsons. It concerns Homer's contribution to global warming and how he must change his character in order to save Springfield. The movie was well received with critics and audiences alike, but faded quickly at the box office.
The movie begins with an Itchy & Scratchy short where Itchy beats up Scratchy and leaves him on the moon. After he threatens "I'M TELLING!", Itchy, now the US president, performs the "'ACCIDENTAL' LAUNCH," which involves fattening Scratchy up with missiles, then blowing him up.
