Hanako and the Terror of Allegory is a manga series made by Sakae Esuno and ran from April 2004 to September 2005. It follows Daisuke Asou, a detective who investigates allegories, which are urban legends that become real and haunt people who believe them. He is assisted by the benign allegory Hanako. Working with them is Kanae Hiranuma, whom they saved from an allegory in the first chapter.
