Foofur is an animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, in association with SEPP International S.A. The series aired on NBC from September 13, 1986 to February 18, 1988.
The series followed the adventures of a skinny blue bloodhound named Foofur, who lived in the town of Willowby in an old mansion on 32 Maple Street that belonged to his late owner. Foofur also lives in the mansion with his friends; his niece Rocki, a cat named Fencer, a bulldog named Louis, a sheepdog named Annabel, a miniature schnauzer named Fritz-Carlos, and a cocker spaniel named Hazel. Many episodes show Foofur and his friends trying to protect their home from being sold by a real-estate agent named Mrs. Escrow, and her Chihuahua named Pepe, who constantly tries to expose Foofur and his friends, to no avail.
Fritz-Carlos Bombs Out (S1E11b)
Fritz-Carlos, upon discovering that Hazel's old boyfriend is afraid of loud noises, due to being a former bomb-sniffing dog, tries to make loud noises to freak him out. Among his attempts to do so is inflating an old inner tube to try and make it pop. Unfortunately, the air blows back into Fritz-Carlos while doing so, which causes him to inflate.
