Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series was first published in May 1993, starting off in the continuity of DiC Entertainment's Saturday Morning cartoon series, which first aired several months later. The series ended with 290 issues in July 2017, making it the longest-running comic book based on a video game.

Other Sonic comic books include Sonic the Comic, a British comic book series published for nine years since 1993, a spin-off series centering around Knuckles the Echidna, an American-made comic book series based on Sonic X, and Sonic Universe, a series which takes place in the Archie continuity, with a focus on side characters and smaller story arcs. In 2018, a new Sonic the Hedgehog comic books series was created, this time by IDW Publishing.

Psuedo-Sonic! (Sonic the Hedgehog #9, 1994)
