Pond Life is an animated sitcom targeted at adult women that was created by Candy Guard, based off of her own short film I Want a Boyfriend ... Or Do I?, that ran for four years until 2000 on Channel 4 in the UK.

The show revolves around Dolly Pond, a selfish and neurotic woman in her 30's who tries to get herself a better life, but doesn't exactly succeed.

Dolly has given up smoking and gained weight during her holiday in Australia, so she tries as many diets as she can but seems to eat the wrong food. Eventually she starts dating someone who prefers her new shape, but he dumps her when she's back to her thin self.
