Onmyō Taisenki is an anime TV series based on the manga of the same name written by Yoshihiko Tomizawa. The anime adaptation was produced by Sunrise Inc. and ran from September 2004 to September 2005. The show follows Riku Tachibana, a 12-year-old boy, and Kogenta of the Byakko, a mystical creature called a Shikigami that bonds with Riku as he learns of the intricate nature of these beings.
