In New York City, after Mack and Pam infiltrate a restaurant and retrieve the key that unlocks the captured Jamaican macaw Delroy, they lock themselves inside the Chef's office, where Delroy resides, and try to hastily unlock the cage before the Chef catches them. Mack shallows the key by accident, and the Chef barges open. The family of mallards, including Mack and Pam, hide behind a column while Mack holds on tightly to a balloon. So tightly that a hole popped open, which Mack closed shut with his bill to stop it from hissing. He ends up inhaling all the helium inside, causing him to float up in the air and inflate his whole body, catching the attention of the Chef. Mack screams in fear and starts deflating himself, flying all around the office, before knocking out the Chef and spitting out the key.

After Delroy frees himself from his cage with the key, they all leave the restaurant through the skylight. Mack still retains some helium inside his body until Delroy hugs him and his family in triumph.
