Koziołek Matołek is a character created in 1933 by Kornel Makuszyński and Marian Walentynowicz, their work being one of the first Polish comics in history. Because of its popularity, it became an influence to Poland as a whole. Matołek is a naive anthropomorphic goat traveling to the town of Pacanów, where it is said shoes for goats are made. His journey is quite surreal and takes him to many places around the world.
