Fox Spirit Matchmaker (also known as Huyao Xiao Hongniang) is a Chinese webcomic written by Xiao Xin and published in 2012. It was also adapted into an online animated series in 2015. The premise takes place in a world where spirits and humans coexist and even form romantic partnerships. Since spirits live longer than humans, they often out-live their partners whom then have no memory of their previous lives once they are reincarnated. The protagonists are Tushan Susu, a young fox-spirit “matchmaker”, and Bai Yuechu, a powerful Taoist. The pair strives to restore some of these lost memories and reunite lost couples.
