Fox Spirit Matchmaker

Fox Spirit Matchmaker (known as Huyao Xiao Hongniang in Japan) is a Chinese online animated adaptation of the Huyao Xiao Hongniang manga series. The show was produced by Haoliners Animation League and began production in June 2015. The show’s premise takes place in a world where spirits and humans coexist and even form romantic partnerships. Since spirits live longer than humans, they often out-live their partners whom then have no memory of their previous lives once they are reincarnated. The show’s protagonist, a young fox-spirit “matchmaker” named Tosan Sūsu, strives to restore some of these lost memories and reunite lost couples.
