Doraemon: Nobita and the Legend of the Sun King is an animated film starring Doraemon, the popular cat-like robot from the future. Released on March 4, 2000 the film follows Doraemon and his friends in the ancient Mesoamerican kingdom of Mayana. After the evil witch Ledina curses the kingdom, Nobita takes the place of the young prince Tio. With the help of Doraemon's gadgets Nobita and his friends help the denizens of the kingdom and fight Ledina.

At one point in the film, Doraemon and co. encounter an enormous crocodile ridden by one of Ledina's warriors. Doraemon runs from the crocodile and searches through his gadgets for something to help him. Procuring a stick of bubble gum, he throws it into the crocodile's mouth which inflates and flies away.
