Curtis is a comic strip created by Ray Billingsley that has been syndicated since October 3, 1988.

The title character will usually feast a lot, get into trouble, try to cure his father of his smoking addiction and charm the aspiring diva star Michelle.

September 9-14, 1998

When Michelle's mother gets a new boyfriend, the three spend the date in France, where they visit all the best restaurants. When they return, Michelle appears much fatter than before.

In this story arc, Michelle has gained weight after losing a contest where the loser has to eat a big pan of lasagna, but seems to be happy about it. Not only has she been given a rest from her strict diet, but she has been hired as a plus-size teen fashion model, and a place as spokesgirl for the "Weight-Away" campaign, resulting in mass profit.
