Battle Spirits (バトルスピリッツ) is a trading card game developed by Bandai, Sunrise Inc, and Carddass. It has spun off into multiple anime and manga adaptations.

Battle Spirits: Heroes

Battle Spirits: Heroes is an anime series based on the Battle Spirits trading card game. Succeeding Battle Spirits: Brave, it first aired in September 2011.

The protagonist is Hajime Hinobori, whose parents built a battle system so that he would be able to see spirits and have them battle. He journeys with his friends and enters tournaments to test his skills. Burst cards are introduced and added in this series.

Battle Spirits: Saikyou Ginga Ultimate Zero

Battle Spirits: Saikyou Ginga Ultimate Zero is a Japan-exclusive anime series based on the trading card game Battle Spirits that has aired since September 2013, straight after the end of [Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes].

The main protagonist is Rei the Number One Star, leader of the Number One Star Ship Crew, who is on a quest to find a treasure hidden somewhere in space, the Ultimate Battle Spirits. Along the way, he takes part in card battles, transforming into Zero, who will have a different personality depending on which color card he uses.

Battle Spirits: Sword Eyes is an anime series based on the Battle Spirits trading card game. Airing first in September 2012, this series follows Battle Spirits: Heroes and was soon followed by Battle Spirits: Saikyou Ginga Ultimate Zero .
