Batman: The Brave and the Bold is an animated series somewhat based on DC Comics' The Brave and the Bold comic series, which features two heroes working together. This cartoon used to air on Cartoon Network. It centers on Batman as he teams up with various (lesser-known) heroes to thwart the villain in each episode.

As Plastic Man attempts to save Batman from the clutches of Gorilla Grodd, he stumbles upon the loot stolen by Grodd. Plastic Man's kleptomaniac behavior occurs by swallowing Grodd's loot resulting in a bloated stomach. Plastic Man loses his bloated appearance after he uses his powers to shoot the loot at Grodd and his Gorilla Army.
