Punch (or The London Charivari) is a satirical British magazine founded by Henry Mayhew and Ebenezer Landells. It ran from 1841 to 1992, and temporarily revived from 1996 to 2002. It was highly influential in the British Empire and is known for its sophisticated humor. The name comes from the character Mr. Punch of the puppet show Punch and Judy, and he also appears in the magazine.
