Avatar: The Last Airbender (known in some territories as Avatar: The Legend of Aang) is a 2005 Animated Series from Nickelodeon created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Brian Konietzko. It focuses on the efforts of Aang, the last of a tribe of wind-controlling nomads, to stop an army of fire-controlling soldiers from taking over an Asian and Amerindian inspired world.

The three benders in the Gaang- Toph, Aang, and Katara- use Sokka as a test subject to show off their bending. Aang uses his air bending to inflate Sokka like a balloon, sending him drifting through the air before popping on Appa's horn.
